It’s been a while, and it’s good to be back. While men’s basketball has been stuck in the middle of the College Insider Mid-Major Top-25 poll, Northeastern hockey hasn’t seen the pollercoaster since this feature ran on November 11th. A lot has happened since then. At that point hockey was on the highest of highs, defeating Boston University at home. The team has experienced rock bottom, a 9-2 drubbing in Burlington, Vermont. Since that blowout, the Huskies are 6-1. Add to that wins against teams under consideration (Lowell, UMass, Vermont), and NU once again becomes a team represented in the most recent USCHO poll.

Alright, let’s get the superlatives out of the way. The ice rink at Fenway park is what the hype has made it out to be. It’s a stunning setting, combining strong histories of hockey and baseball in one of America’s iconic sporting venues.
