Northeastern Athletics announced via Twitter earlier this afternoon that the Northeastern-George Mason game scheduled for February 27th will be televised by ESPN2. The game was originally one of two options for a nationally televised CAA game that day. It will be the second game on ESPN2 for the Huskies in a 7-day span. Scheduled tip-off has been set for 12 noon.

The ESPNU Bracketbuster pairing was announced for the Northeastern Huskies on Monday. They will host the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at Matthews Arena on Saturday, February 20 at 1:00 p.m. It was also announced that the game will be televised nationwide on ESPN2, the second consecutive time that Northeastern’s Bracketbuster game will air on “The Deuce.”

Hockey East announced today that both games of the Sun Life Frozen Fenway event in January will be televised on NESN. Northeastern will face UNH in the first half of a doubleheader from the outdoor rink on January 8th. With added television coverage, the game time has been moved up to 4:00 p.m. with a post-game show at the conclusion of the BU-BC game. You can read the full press release at the Hockey East website.

Hockey East announced this season’s TV schedule at media day yesterday. From Wednesday’s press release:
New England college hockey fans will have access to 50 telecasts involving Hockey East teams in the 26th season of league play, highlighted by NESN’s “Hockey East Friday Night” package and the national contract with ESPNU (indicated in bold). The league will also receive valuable regional and local exposure on Cox Sports in Providence and WABI-TV in Bangor, Maine. Hockey East fans can also watch games live on the internet, as video streaming is available at all league schools, excluding select TV games.
Northeastern will appear in at least six televised games this season, including the first round of the 2010 Beanpot.
