ESPN: Coen a candidate to take Siena job

March 28th, 2010

ESPN.com’s Andy Katz is reporting that Bill Coen is one of the top outside candidates to replace Fran McCaffery at Siena, after McCaffery picked up the head coaching job at Iowa. Northeastern athletic director Peter Roby announced to the SGA earlier this year that Coen had been signed to a contract extension, but the terms of the contract were never formally announced or released.

This season, Coen coached the Huskies to a 20-14 finish, their best record since 2005, and his first 20-win season as head coach at Northeastern.
