Off The Wires Thursday: Playoffs, polls, and pundits

October 29th, 2009

>>> First, the folks at Northeastern athletics have done a good job going over the playoff scenarios for volleyball, field hockey, and men’s/women’s soccer. [Huskies Insider]

>>> Speaking of soccer, Marvin Pave writes that there’s very MetroWest feel to the men’s soccer team. [Boston Globe West]

>>> Mike Litos strongly believes that Bill Coen deserves a raise and a contract extension, and tells you why. [CAA Hoops]

>>> Jerry Beach has an interesting synthesis of CAA basketball predictions made thus far, compiling them all into one master poll. [Defiantly Dutch]

>>> Patrick McHugh writes about an elated football team that broke its 13-game long winless streak on Saturday. [Huntington News]

>>> While not officially ranked, NU did jump to “12th” in USA Today’s women’s hockey poll. [Huntington News]

With hockey off for the weekend and football on the road, head out to Parsons Field and scream your face off at the women’s soccer game. Of course, if you can’t get to the game, we’ll have it for you live here on WRBB.
