Dog Pound Summer
Every two to three weeks this summer, we’ll have brand new podcasts from the Dog Pound Sports Sound crew, discussing off-season news, schedules, and hot topics. Our first podcast comes this week, with a look at JJ Barea in the NBA finals, a new transfer joining the men’s basketball program, among other news items.
2010-2011 Flashback
We look back at some of the most exciting Northeastern hockey and basketball games from the season gone by, posting complete game broadcasts. The games featured:
- [Men's Basketball] The Huskies overcomes a 17-point deficit to defeat Texas State in Cancun, Mexico. Post date: June 7th
- [Men's Basketball] A stunning win for Northeastern over eventual Final Four participant VCU caps a four-game winning streak for the Huskies. Post date: June 29th
- [Men's Hockey] It was a Beanpot final for the ages, and though the Huskies came up short to Boston College in overtime (7-6), the action was some of the most thrilling ever seen in a Beanpot final. Post date: July 12th
- [Men's Hockey] Less than a week later, the Huskies got their revenge, defeating Boston College 2-1 in front of a sold-out Matthews Arena crowd. Post date: July 19th
- [Women's Hockey] A shocking 4-2 upset over Boston University allowed the Huskies to reach the Hockey East championship game for the first time in program history. Post date: August 2nd
- [Men's Hockey] In a historic game 3 of the Hockey East quarterfinals, Northeastern defeated Boston University 5-4 at Agganis Arena to advance to the conference semifinal round. Post date: August 16th
