Welcome back to the pollercoaster!
It’s been a while, and it’s good to be back. While men’s basketball has been stuck in the middle of the College Insider Mid-Major Top-25 poll, Northeastern hockey hasn’t seen the pollercoaster since this feature ran on November 11th. A lot has happened since then. At that point hockey was on the highest of highs, defeating Boston University at home. The team has experienced rock bottom, a 9-2 drubbing in Burlington, Vermont. Since that blowout, the Huskies are 6-1. Add to that wins against teams under consideration (Lowell, UMass, Vermont), and NU once again becomes a team represented in the most recent USCHO poll.
So, how does Northeastern stand in those polls?
Hockey - USCHO: Receiving Votes (24th)
On the women’s side, the Huskies continue to hang onto a Top 10 spot, despite losing the season series to Boston University.
Women’s Hockey - USA Today: 8th
Finally, on the basketball front, the Huskies dropped from 8th since losing to William & Mary on Saturday.
