Struggles continue…0-2 Holiday Road Trip
Another 7 A.M. HST wake up call was on the schedule for us radio announcers and the Northeastern Men’s Basketball team. This early wake up time was earned through a first round loss to the St. Mary’s Gaels. Unfortunately, we’ll be starting even earlier on Friday after the Huskies lost to the Western Michigan University Broncos.
The same issues that plagued them in Game 1 were recurring early this morning. The Huskies allowed 10+ 3-pointers for the 3rd consecutive game on the way to a 75-60 loss at the hands of the Broncos. An ugly game to call from start to finish led to every Husky player touching the floor; even freshman Dinko Marshavelski seeing his first action of the year. Now the Huskies will go on to face the loser of SMU/Charleston in the final game of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic on Christmas Day at 2 P.M. EST with pregame coverage starting at 1:50 P.M. EST. We will be the only broadcast team covering the game on 104.9 WRBB and WRBBSPORTS.com. Make sure to tune in to hear the Huskies try and bounce back while you’re opening your presents under the tree.
Myself and Jason will be taking in the sun and surroundings on our day off tomorrow. Look out for another post choc full of pictures detailing our travels.
Aloha!
