Off The Wires Thursday: Impatiently waiting for Friday

November 5th, 2009

On your Thursday afternoon, we have some news stories for you to feast upon.

>>> First, we start with a good article about the hot start Northeastern women’s hockey is off to. We may see a heck of a game at Fenway Park in January. [New England Hockey Journal]

>>> Bleacher Report is, above all else, a site where anyone can submit posts, creating a huge pool of content. That content requires a bit more skepticism than a traditional news outlet, but we think this is a pretty good CAA preview from Paul Seaver, a contributor. [Bleacher Report]

On a side note, Bleacher Report competitor MVN.com was started by a Northeastern student.

>>> Matt Holt writes about a bus trip to Siena, which is being offered to students. [Huskies on the Move]

>>> Unfortunately, women’s soccer will have to live without its most prolific scorer on the season, as Devin Petta has a torn ACL and will not participate in any game for the remainder of the season. [Huntington News]
